Cogita AI
A Fraunhofer Mentor: How nxt milestone Connected Cogita AI to German Industry
The Starting Point
Cogita AI arrived in Berlin with a B2B AI solution, as part of GoGlobal Berlin 2026, the market-entry programme that nxt milestone runs together with its Polish partner organisation StartSmart CEE for startups from Central and Eastern Europe. The goal: win six paying enterprise customers in Germany, build resilient reseller and systems-integration partnerships, and secure reference cases to support further expansion across Europe.
The Preparation Delivered by nxt milestone
nxt milestone matched Cogita AI with Christian Zacherl of the Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging (Fraunhofer IVV) — a mentor with direct access to Germany’s industrial and research landscape. The mentor pairing was set up for 12 contracted hours and delivered in full, alongside weekly consultation sessions with nxt milestone and thematic workshops on sales, market research, and brand positioning.
The Win: Market Access via the Technology Track
On the technology track of the Berlin Onsite Week organised by nxt milestone, Cogita AI exhibited for two days at GITEX Europe, from a stand adjacent to the Berlin Pavilion, and took part in the trade fair’s matchmaking programme. Alongside this, the mentoring and networking work curated by nxt milestone for the technology track opened conversations with four German manufacturing companies in the €200–500 million revenue range, including a site visit with an in-depth technical discussion at a major southern German manufacturer.
At the close of the Berlin Onsite Week, Cogita AI also pitched at the Polish Tech Night Demo Day in front of around 200 industry guests from Berlin’s startup and business scene.
The Result
Thanks to the mentor match and guidance from nxt milestone, Cogita AI leaves the programme with a complete German market-entry strategy, open conversations with German manufacturing companies in the hundred-million-euro revenue range, and a direct line into the Fraunhofer research landscape for continued collaboration.
