From Cold Outreach to a Meeting at Metro: How nxt milestone Prepared Planeat's German Market Entry

Planeat

The Starting Point

Planeat arrived in Berlin with a D2C food product, as part of GoGlobal Berlin 2026, the market-entry programme that nxt milestone runs together with its Polish partner organisation StartSmart CEE for startups from Central and Eastern Europe. The goal: establish a foothold in the German market, with initial HORECA customers and a pathway into retail.

The Preparation Delivered by nxt milestone

nxt milestone guided Planeat through the full programme: a dedicated mentor pairing with Holger Böckner of Food Embassy, 12 contracted mentoring hours, plus weekly consultation sessions and thematic workshops on sales, market research, and brand positioning. By the end of the preparation phase, the team had a complete set of German-market foundations: a German-language presentation, a pricing model, a defined offer, and in-depth market research.

The Win: the Meeting That Made the Difference

Cold digital outreach alone had proven slow going. That’s precisely why nxt milestone built the Berlin Onsite Week to create in-person meetings rather than more unanswered messages. On the food and retail track, nxt milestone worked with Food Embassy to arrange a programme of HORECA, distributor, and retail meetings that led, for Planeat, to a meeting at Metro.

“Meeting in Metro as a great start for developing sales in Berlin.”

The Result

Thanks to the preparation and meeting arrangements delivered by nxt milestone, Planeat leaves the programme with a complete German market-entry package — presentation, pricing, offer, and market research — plus a solid first contact at Metro as the starting point for building out sales in Germany.
